Frequently Asked Questions

It is a powerful strategy as children transition through life’s journey.

Who Founded Integral Connections - A Whole-Child Initiative?

Miriam McGill and Maureen Connelly launched Integral Connections to support children and their families. Their attention is focused on the social, emotional, mental, physical, and cognitive development of children. Such an approach in no way alienates itself from academic development, but instead enhances academic skills by focusing on all attributes of the child.

What Are Your Qualifications?

Maureen is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist, and Miriam is a dual Masters Degree Educator (Elementary Education, Special Education). Collectively, they have known the rewards of helping shape the lives of children for more than sixty-five years.

Are Your Bookings Flexible To Fit My Family’s Schedule?

Yes. We have different programs available to fit your learner’s needs and your family’s schedule. We offer group, small group, and 1:1 sessions. Each session is 45 minutes long. We will discuss any scheduling constraints you may have and work with each family individually to determine the best schedule for your needs.

How Do I Sign Up For Services? Where are you located?

Please contact us and we will find a schedule that fits your family’s needs. Integral Connections is located on the NE side of Tucson (85749).

What is your Liaison and Advocacy Support?

Together we have enjoyed more than sixty-five years of highly successful relationships working alongside parents, administrators and staff in the Tucson Community Public, Charter, and Private Schools. Our experience includes but is not limited to all areas of General Education of mainstream students and Exceptional Student Services. We are equipped to deliver expert advice on education, social care, and advocacy for parents and school professionals.

What Is An ESA?

An Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) is an account administered by the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) and funded by state tax dollars to provide options for the education of qualified students in this state. An ESA consists of 90% of the state funding that would have otherwise been allocated to the school district or charter school for the qualified student (does not include federal or local funding). By opting out of the public-school system and accepting an ESA, applicants can seek a range of alternative educational services such as private schools, home-based education, tutoring, and educational therapies (for students with disabilities only) using state funds. Funded by the state, tailored by the applicant, and individualized for the student—the ESA program provides a unique opportunity to prepare Arizona students to succeed in school and life.
